Ceramic Class

Ceramic is an art based on very simple materials and tools. In the Ceramic class, students will be taught various techniques such as Pincing, Coil, Slapping, and many more. Students will be taught also how to shape clay into artistic results. Students will bring home their Ceramic results after the process of painting and burning. Students will learn to form clay using a turntable. All equipment in the Ceramic class has been provided by Light Education.

Outcome Learning

In the Ceramic class, students will make various projects each semester. And all projects that students do in the Ceramic class will belong to students and can take them home. They are some equipment and results that students can take them home.

Term and condition

In order to produce a maximum learning system and fun learning method we need preparation, equipment and other supporting needs as like:

Beginner Level

At the beginner level, students are taught how to make models with some basic techniques for shaping clay. This level can be started from kindergarten up to grade 1 elementary school. Students will be taught how to color clay.

Basic Level

The basic level starts at grade 2 elementary school and already uses a simple turn wheel. Students will learn advanced techniques from beginner classes. Student results will be colored and gone through a combustion process so that it becomes an attractive ceramic.

Intermediate Level

Students at the secondary level have begun to shape all objects with an electric wheel with more complex techniques. Students will be taught how to make products and the process of combustion and the process of painting after burning.

The advanced level is the level where students can have talent certainly in ceramic classes. At this level, students can make products that can be sold and can take part in ceramic competitions.
